Cyclone threatens Rakhine State

ANNOUNCEMENT OF BRCA MELBOURNE BRANCH OPENING

Burmese Rohingya Community in Australia (BRCA) is pleased to announce that BRCA Melbourne branch has been successfully opened with the collaborative of Rohingya residents in Melbourne.

Recently, Victoria State has been hosting many newly arrived Rohingyas and the demand of a Rohingya community organisation has come forward to support the emerging community in Victoria. In order to make stronger the unity of Rohingya community, BRCA decided to open a branch in Melbourne with the support of local Rohingyas.

The aims and objectives of this branch will be similar to its mother organization, BRCA and nothing will be changed except from leading this branch by Melbourne based Rohingya members.

Similarly to BRCA headquarter, BRCA Melbourne branch will solely aim to development of the Rohingya community in

Victoria and corporate with different other Burmese ethnic groups and Burmese representative groups across Australia.

Besides, the branch will also corporate with individual welfare workers, activists, Rights Organizations, local NGOs and

other social organizations in order to help and solve the Rohingyas both in exile and home.
